You can schedule a 45-50 minute mixed media presentation followed by a dialogue with this modern-day Norwegian sailor, fisherman, farmer, and former sports teacher and ski instructor. Roar left the Folk High School to spend the last 15 years teaching students the traditional sailing methods that date back to the Vikings.
During the summer's nature-life and sailing programs, students learn the skills and practicalities of the methods and tools tried and tested before the advent of the engine and the computer.
Roar welcomes the opportunity for questions and discussion following the presentation.
